Our driving courses

Drivetime Driver Training Solutions is a leading corporate driver training company specialising in providing defensive, advanced driving courses and driver risk management solutions to wide variety of clients from many different sectors of the UK economy.

We have developed a wide range of driving courses designed to deliver dynamic and permanent changes in driver behaviour. In addition to our standard driving courses we can build a bespoke course that is designed around your company or organisations specific requirements.

Whether you require a single Risk Assessment or a Full Fleet Management Consultancy – we can deliver a theory or on road driving course to fulfil your company requirements with results that will exceed your expectations. Your fleet's fuel consumption and cost could also be reduced by ten to twelve percent. Your drivers will receive training in safe and fuel-efficient driving techniques in order to make major contributions to these savings.

Our basic defensive driving course is a one day course covering discussion on crash statistics, the causes of crashes and methods that can be used to minimise the possibilities of being involved in a crash. This is our most popular course.

All our driving courses start with a theory discussion lasting about 90-120 minutes on the causes of road crashes and work related crashes. It introduces the delegates to a 'risk assessment' approach to their driving which will reduce the chances of becoming involved in future incidents and also help to reduce the severity of any that may occur. The remainder of the day is spent in practical driving allowing the delegates to practice the principles previously discussed.

Online Assessment

Why use online training? There are several areas where computer based training scores over more traditional methods. Computer based training delivers a consistent level of quality and course content so you can be 100% sure that all staff have received the same level of training and assessment which in turn means that results can be evaluated accurately.

Another area where computer based training has the advantage over face to face training is that should it become necessary for the member of staff being trained to return to work the point they have reached in the course is recorded so that they can resume at a later time. This avoids tying up valuable members of staff for the duration of a course.

The third (and to some, the most important) reason for using computer based training is the cost saving. Face-to-face training works out more expensive as employers have to employ the services of a trainer as well as providing a suitable venue. The alternative is for the employer to release members of staff to attend a training centre. Either way, staff members are lost for the duration of the course and other resources may be tied up. Computer based training is flexible and only needs one computer.
